Office Administrator – (Part Time)
ABOUT FOSTER CITY VILLAGE
Foster City Village (FCV) is a community-based non-profit membership organization that
empowers older adults to live happily, healthfully, and successfully as they age by providing an
active community in which to get involved, and a network of resources that addresses their living
needs as well as their social, cultural, and educational desires. The organization also serves as a
resource to the community at large by hosting many free workshops, lectures, and events open to
the public.
The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, detail oriented, and well organized. This
candidate is a quick learner, multitasks, and is willing to take on new challenges of supporting a
communications, marketing, social media, database management to administrative procedures.
The position requires maturity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities will include:
Administrative Office Support:
Assist with membership applications, member binder updates, volunteer applications, brochures, flyers, Newsletters, etc. as needed
Assist in generating operational monthly reports for Operations Team and Board of
Directors meetings
Provide membership information and assist with membership renewal
Assist with Zoom events and distribution of event communication materials
Provide administrative support to program instructors with program logistics and
Manage event registrations, guest lists and RSVPs
Assist with follow-up communications for donor gifts and in-kind donations.
Assist in creating and publishing newsletters

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
9am – 1pm
Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in a related field such as gerontology, human
services, sociology, social work, or business administration
Must be comfortable working with older adults and families with a variety of
personalities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point), Google Docs, Zoom, Facebook
Strong skills with data tracking, reports, and databases are strongly desired
Minimum 2 years of professional and/or volunteer experience in customer service and
administrative experience
Legal to work in the United States and pass background check and screening
This position reports to the Board of Directors.
This position is part-time, 20 hours/week.
A regular work schedule will be set in advance with some flexibility, Monday-Friday 9am-1pm.
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week

Responsibilities will range from providing support of grant funded programs, officecommunications, marketing, social media, database management to administrative procedures.

Responsibilities will include:
Administrative Office Support:
Assist with membership applications, member binder updates, volunteer applications, brochures, flyers, Newsletters, etc. as needed

Interface with IT Support, as necessary, for hardware, software, website and securityissues.
Member & Service Provider/Volunteer Support: Process and manage member requests.
Confirm volunteers for service requests with follow-up, if necessary Resolve member and service provider issues
Grant Funded Program Support: Support grant writer with administrative tasks related to compliance and generating grant
documents such as stats and graphic assistance.
Maintain grant program database and files for reportingMarketing/Fundraising Support: Content management for our Village website, You Tube, Facebook and Nextdoor postings
Manage email and donor databases to ensure accuracy and integrity of all information. Manage event registrations, guest lists and RSVPs
Assist with follow-up communications for donor gifts and in-kind donations.
Assist in creating and publishing newsletters
