We are a Non-Profit Community Based Clinic located in Central Massachusetts (Worcester). We strive to provide compassionate care to everyone who walks through our doors, regardless of income or insurance status, including low-income, underinsured, uninsured, publicly housed, and homeless populations.We are seeking a Provider to assist with psychiatric evaluations and med | management for the child adolescent population we serve. Excellent collaborating psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team. The patient volume would be 1 new psych eval per hour and med checks run every 30 minutes.
Under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Director and Director of Psychiatry, coordinates the comprehensive healthcare needs of the specific patient population and provides appropriate direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of specific conditions.Participates in the department's educational and research activities.
Major responsibilities: Collaborates with other providers to provide comprehensive, integrated psychiatric services to the unreserved.
Assesses patient's physical and psychosocial health|illness status through history taking and physical examination.Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests according to established guidelines.
Facilitates and coordinates patient care referrals to specialists and outside agenciesDevelops and provides educational materials and|or programs to patients, families, and other health care professionals.
May participate in clinical and|or nursing research.
Actively participates in the departmental quality assurance program.
Serves on appropriate department and|or hospital committees.
Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the health center's mission.
Performs other related duties as required and as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Massachusetts Licensed PMHNP
Certified in Massachusetts to practice in the expanded role as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatry & MH Nursing.
