Maintenance Technician
This position requires a mix of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong safety mindset.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery.
- Install and commission new equipment as needed.
- Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential problems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance activity records and manage spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve overall equipment performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing effective maintenance procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- high mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- clear communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Experience with Preventative Maintenance/CMMS software is a plus.
