District Talent Manager

Location: St. Louis, MOPay Range: 42,000 - 52,000 a year
Position Overview:
The District Talent Manager is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, retention, and development of new associates in the designated geography. This role leads the recruitment efforts in a district and is responsible for full cycle recruitment, successful execution of onboarding programs, and training and developing new hires.The District Talent Manager will report to the Regional Talent Manager and work hand in hand with the District Manager to ensure associate readiness for upcoming business needs.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partners with the Regional Director, Regional Talent Manager, and District Managers to ensure retention goals and District Talent strategies are executed and maintained
- Manages requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System
- Conducts phone screens, in-person and virtual interviews, and extends offers
- Participates in local hiring events and career fairs
- Drives employee engagement through communication and activities; escalates roadblocks as needed
- Executes new hire, ASET development, and in-store training programs
- Ensures “Best in Class” candidate experience and retention of new hires (30, 60, and 90 day meetings and checkups)
- Manages the background check and drug screening process, if applicable
- Works directly with local leadership to maintain staffing needs and plans
- Develops relationships with local hiring and employee sourcing outreach
- Responsible for District metrics including, but not limited to: retention, turnover, employee engagement, talent development, and associate readiness

Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree; an equivalent of training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in recruitment, training, onboarding, or operations
- Experience with social media marketing and networking
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment investigative consumer repor.,
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Experience with ATS and HRIS systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
Work may be sedentary at times: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Frequent local travel is required by automobile (up to 75% of the time). Occasional longer distance travel via plane or automobile, including overnight stays may be required (up to 25% of the time).
