- Ability to measure to 1/16 of an inch, cut material on table saw, and use hand tools

Job Description for Plastic Fabricator:
We are a custom design and fabrication shop and we are looking for a skilled plastic fabricator to join our team. We fabricate detailed plastic products for art galleries, casinos, convention centers, hotels, bars, restaurants, museums, retail stores, riverboats, offices and homes.
The plastic fabricator makes custom designs to exact specifications. The position entails the bonding of various types of plastics to deliver high quality products within a given timeframe, using solvents such as Weldon, MC Bond, and others.
Critical responsibilities and duties:
- Special fabrication projects using knowledge of plastic bonding techniques and precision tools/machines.
- Use measuring tape, do addition and subtraction of measurements in inches and fractions of inches.
- Cut material to size using table saw, panel saw, and hand saw.
- Trim, drill, bond, sand, countersink, grind, bend and finish parts to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and related documentation.
- Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment. Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Receive and inspect material deliveries, carry sheets of plastic or other large products.
- Help clean the shop as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Reading construction plans and specifications: 1+ year
- Plastic fabrication or cabinet making: 3+ years
- Ability to listen well, follow instructions carefully and communicate effectively.
- Accurate and detail-oriented, with good mathematical skills.
- Ability to work with shop tools and machines safely and effectively.
- Self-motivated, able to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work full-time plus overtime as necessary, work in a shop environment with noise where you have to bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry material that may be fifty (50) pounds or more.
