Robert Half has partnered with a client within the services industry on their search for a Senior Accountant who is looking to moving into an Accounting Manager role. This candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial reports, preparing financial statements, assisting the month end close process, analyzing financial data, assist intercompany cash receipts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
The successful candidate for this role will have excellent leadership abilities, sharp analytical skills, understanding of employee contracts, school regulations and guidelines.
Major Responsibilities- Implement revenue generating control systems
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions
- Assist with bank deposits and bank reconciliations
- Preparing income statements and balance sheets
- Review Variance Analysis
- Oversee the month end close process
- Journal Entry Preparation
- Prepare financial reports/statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
The ideal Senior Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- SAP experience preferred not required
- Highly organized, strong time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
