Position Summary:

Performs the functions necessary to manage the Company’s pricing strategies and support the overall profitability of the company by leveraging pricing management expertise in accordance with Banner’s policies, procedures, and core values.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides pricing management expertise to maintain gross profit and competitiveness
• Maintains the in-store pricing system and ensures data integrity and accuracy in the company’s pricing process inclusive of managing shelf tags, establishing prices, and setting up new items & promotions; ensures UPC’s reflect current case, inner pack and unit data
• Verifies vender related expense by tracking costs, promotions, billbacks, off-invoice and count/recount scans
• Serves as the primary point of contact with Chain Store Customers to ensure timely communication of pricing, promotions, and item changes such as UPC codes, item packs and size
• Performs regular analysis on margins and cost of goods sold to ensure pricing profitability is at target levels
• Works with the accounting team to resolve pricing discrepancies with vendors or chain stores
• Supports the purchasing team with new item set up, invoice creation and item movement reports when needed
• Performs other functions as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Action oriented with the ability to coordinate, organize and plan effectively
• Strong orientation to timelines, deadlines, and overall time management
• Expertise in pricing management, procedures, and maintenance
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in purchasing, supply chain, or another applicable field
• 3-5 years of pricing and sales promotion experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and POS systems
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
