Technical Construction Project Manager

As Program Manager at Tesla you will be a part of the infrastructure team at Tesla facilities in the Bay Area, CA. You will play an essential role in sustaining organizational operations for projects in a manufacturing environment by coordinating efforts across a wide range of cross functional Engineering teams.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as Factory Design, Factory Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Product Engineering/Manufacturing, Legal, Real-estate, Finance, Operations and other supporting functions to scope out and drive projects for deployment of Cell & Energy Product Infrastructure Programs
- Distill complex technical issues to their program-level impacts
- Work with external suppliers to develop comprehensive plans, outlining strategy, scope, schedule, risks, resource requirements, cost targets to help accelerate critical infrastructure programs
- Identify creative and timely solutions to address/resolve program challenges
- Create and develop technical program reports and engineering summaries for executive management in conjunction with team leads across the infrastructure group
- Create, maintain, communicate, and present schedules for projects to the Infrastructure leadership
- Develop tools and analytics for project reporting, enabling program teams to focus more efforts on problem solving
- Employ a can-do attitude, taking on any task required to support the team and get things done
- 4+ years of experience in a supportive capacity preferably with an engineering organization or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Physics/Chemistry or similar subject, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Engineering Software - Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Aconex, PlanGrid, and or Procore
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidance; proactive, motivated self-starter
