Job Description
  • Manage and oversee all phases of DSA-regulated construction projects, from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with DSA requirements and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and address any issues that arise.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, architects, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation to DSA, ensuring timely approvals and responses.
  • Manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the project team, including project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Resolve any disputes or conflicts that arise during the construction process.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on DSA projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of DSA regulations, procedures, and requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing public school construction projects in California.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
