Full Charge Bookkeeper

Robert Half is currently representing a reputable client in the non-profit sector who is seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temporary to full-time opportunity. This position is based in Pleasanton, CA.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and bank reconciliation.
2. Handle monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
3. Prepare financial statements – balance sheet, P& L, statement of cash flows.
4. Coordinate with CPA for tax preparation.
5. Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account.
6. Make sure receivables are collected promptly.
7. Process payroll and maintain employee records.
8. Oversight of internal controls and documentation for audit purposes.
9. Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping experience in a lead role.
10. Strong experience in reconciliation, analysis, and review.
11. Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel in particular.
13. Exceptional ability to understand and reconcile bank statements.
14. Must have a working knowledge of GAAP.
15. Non-profit industry experience preferred.
16. Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
