POSITION SUMMARY:Program, set-up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture parts to print tolerances. Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Run production lots, inspect parts, communicate with co-workers and maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.
BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program CNC machines, based on part specifications, using SurfCam/GibbsCam software.
Performs typical machine shop operations.
Ability to perform the basic duties and responsibilities of an Industrial Products CNC Operator.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or other designee.
Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding.
Perform inspection of machined product (including documentation of results).
Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
Assist in other work areas, including but not limited to, pre-form fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Address all safety related issues immediately by informing the appropriate individual.
Comply with PPE requirements at all times.
Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Complete all other duties, as assigned.
