Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED). The RN will provide care for pediatric patients in critical and emergency situations. This role requires the ability to assess patients quickly, prioritize their care based on physical and mental health conditions, and provide specialized nursing services.Ideal candidates should have recent experience in pediatric ED environments and be capable of managing trauma and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize pediatric patients with a wide variety of emergency and trauma conditions.
- Provide professional nursing services in the ED, delivering care based on individualized patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical teams.
- Formulate and implement nursing care plans.
- Participate in emergency situations requiring quick, decisive action.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 18 months of nursing experience in a Pediatric ED environment.
- Recent ED experience (within the past six months).
- Clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective care plans.
- Ability to perform a variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively.
Education & Certifications:
- Required: ASN
- Preferred: BSN
- Licensure: NJ State RN license or multi-state compact license
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS, CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours), Telemetry certification or competency exam
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- Preferred: NRP (AHA), ENPC
