Job Summary:The Head of Corporate Credit Risk will oversee and manage the credit risk portfolio, which includes general corporates, leveraged finance, and project finance. This senior leadership role requires extensive experience in corporate finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage the credit risk portfolio, including general corporates, leveraged finance, and project finance.
  • Credit Analysis: Conduct and supervise thorough credit risk assessments and analysis of various transactions, including financial statement analysis, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement credit risk strategies to mitigate risk and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage the credit risk of existing portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support credit analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored credit solutions.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting the covered sectors.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive credit reports, risk assessments, and presentations to senior management and risk committees.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit risk professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including investment bankers, portfolio managers, and legal advisors, to support the execution of credit risk transactions.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking, with a focus on general corporates, leveraged finance, and project finance.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial analysis software.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate credit risk and credit risk management methodologies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional integrity.

What's on Offer

$185,000 - $300,000 base salary.
