Test Automation Engineer Rockville, MD GC/US Citizens Key Responsibilities: - Lead the QE testing strategy for Data ingestion and analytics projects Develop, document test strategy for comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
Conduct automated data validation and verification to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting. Conduct automated testing for data ingestion to ensure functionality is developed as expected. Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and develop test cases for all scenarios.
Develop and maintain testing plans with collaborating with projects managers from different teams Develop and maintain a scalable automation testing framework Perform regression testing and performance testing on ingestion frameworks, data and Tableau dashboards to ensure functionality and usability.
Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools; communicate results to stakeholders. Mentor & guide junior QE team members, promoting best practices in testing methodologies. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in QA and data analytics.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience in hands-on QE automation testing, with a focus on data validation and business intelligence tools. Proficiency in testing Tableau dashboards and familiarity with data visualization best practices.
Strong understanding of SQL, and data analysis to validate data integrity. Hands on experience with Test Automation frameworks and tools Knowledge of SQL Server, python and Snowflake is a plus. Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
