The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing a range of HR activities, with a particular focus on M&A integration, job title standardization, engagement and retention initiatives, and operational HR support. The Director will work closely with various HR and functional teams to ensure smooth transitions, effective communication, and the development of key HR programs.The position will also provide leadership and support for senior HR staff and operational managers across the organization. This position is based at our Headquarters in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) Integration support by collaborating with the integration team to manage HR, benefits, and talent acquisition activities during M&A processes.
- Serve as a liaison between functional staff and the integration team to ensure smooth execution of HR-related integration efforts.
- Lead the implementation of the job title standardization project, including overseeing communication, working with operational leadership, providing manager training, and coordinating with Talent Acquisition (TA).
- Providing higher-level HR support to resolve employee conflicts in a fair and consistent manner for local offices throughout Washington, DC and Virginia.
- Act as the HR representative for people councils, ensuring that HR perspectives and concerns are effectively communicated and addressed within the council.
- Lead the development and execution of engagement and retention strategies aimed at increasing employee satisfaction and reducing turnover.
- Provide program coordination and support for HR Directors and operational managers across respective Operating Groups (OGs) to implement retention programs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team in carrying out daily HR operations for the group.
- Lead and drive engagement and retention programs, collaborating with HR department representatives, operations managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Other duties will be to provide administrative support throughout various tasks, projects, and initiatives of the corporate HR Department.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and provide strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, preferred.
- Experience with Paycom HRIS and Deltek Costpoint, preferred.
- Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), highly preferred.
