Adecco is partnering with a prestigious law firm in Dallas, TX to find an experienced Legal Secretary to support their litigation team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented administrative professional with 5–7 years of experience in a law firm environment, providing comprehensive legal and clerical support to attorneys.
This is a Legal Secretary position, not a Paralegal role—the primary focus will be on document preparation, case filing, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure seamless office operations.
Position Overview:
The Legal Secretary will assist attorneys with document management, e-filing, scheduling, and general administrative support while maintaining a high level of organization and professionalism. The firm offers a collaborative work environment, competitive salary, and a hybrid work schedule after an initial in-office training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence.
- Coordinate state and federal court e-filings, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines.
- Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical.
- Manage attorney schedules, including calendar appointments, court deadlines, and travel arrangements.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and client communication.
- Assist with expense reporting, billing, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Order and maintain office supplies, coordinate maintenance requests, and provide general office support.
- Work collaboratively with legal assistants and staff across multiple offices.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience as a Legal Secretary in a litigation practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with document management systems (NetDocs experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with court filing procedures and deadlines.
- AA degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Schedule & Benefits:
- Initially in-office, Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM); hybrid schedule available after training (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
