Accountant - Robert Half

Robert Half is seeking a dynamic Accountant to bolster our non-profit client's team, nestled in the heart of Philadelphia. In this pivotal Accountant role, you'll be tasked with steering critical financial transactions and records, contributing to the crafting of meticulous financial reports and budgets, and ensuring a seamless annual audit process.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries for payroll, general ledger adjustments, and other financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including coding, classification, and filing of supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making and financial planning processes.

The ideal Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Accountant position include and are not limited to:

• 3+ years of experience in general accounting, or financial management, with demonstrated proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
• Nonprofit and grant experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
• Experience with Paycom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
