We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This role is within the Retail industry and offers a hybrid work environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for various accounting functions including processing customer credit applications and maintaining customer credit records.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in all accounting functions
• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain and update customer credit records in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system
• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts in a timely manner
• Use ADP - Financial Services for monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions
• Implement accrual accounting principles in handling accounts payable (AP)
• Code account information accurately for easy tracking and auditing
• Use Concur for managing and processing expenses
• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for customers
• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards. • Proficiency in Account Coding is required.
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Concur is desired.
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.
• Understanding of Accounting Functions is required.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.
• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is beneficial.
• Experience in Auditing is desirable.
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an advantage.
