Primary Purpose
The Software Development Engineer – Web Applications will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining web applications hosted in AWS. Work with a variety of technologies including AWS AppSync, Node.js, GraphQL, React, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and integrating with AWS Bedrock(or other frameworks) based genAI services/APIs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance web applications that meet our high standards for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Node.js, React, and REST or GraphQL.
- Utilize AWS services such as AppSync/API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS to build scalable and efficient backend systems.
- Implement GenAI based solutions to solve problems in clinical trial workflows like document authoring, agent based orchestration
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for new and existing features.
- Work in an agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 or more years of related professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in developing Single Page Applications (SPA)
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, React, and GraphQL/REST, TypeScript (python for backend also a plus).
- Experience with AWS services, particularly AppSync, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Experience with web application development best practices and design patterns.
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock/Langchain or comparable APIs and frameworks, experience working with data-science/AI teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer.
- Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Satisfactory background check required.
