  1. Technical Skills and Expertise:
  • Expertise in PCB Design Software- Must:
o Advanced proficiency with PCB design tools such as PADS , Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, , or Mentor Graphics.
o In-depth experience with schematic capture, component library management, and PCB layout.
  • Expertise in Mechanical Design Software- Advantage:
o Advanced proficiency with mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD , and Fusion 360
o Experience in design housing, cover, fixtures
  • 3D Modeling: Experience with 3D CAD modeling for component placement and complex mechanical integration.
  • Expertise in Document Control:
o Skilled in documenting designs, revisions, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
o Ability to review and interpret engineering change orders (ECOs) and incorporate feedback into design revisions.
  • Advanced Understanding of PCB Design Rules:
o Mastery of design rules including trace impedance control, power distribution networks, high-speed signal integrity, and routing of differential pairs.
o Extensive knowledge of multilayer PCB design and optimization for manufacturability.
  • Gerber File Generation and Review:
o Skilled in generating and reviewing Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and ensuring error-free files are sent to manufacturers.
  • Component Placement and Routing:
o Expertise in designing RF boards for high-density, high-power with a focus on signal integrity, power integrity, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  1. Industry Standards & Guidelines:
  • Deep knowledge of IPC standards, particularly IPC-2221, IPC-7351, and IPC-A-600.
  • Mastery of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) principles to ensure boards are production-ready.
  • Experience working within industry standards such as military (MIL), aerospace (DO-254), automotive, or consumer electronics compliance.
  • Experience of working with engineering and production groups to standardize components (mechanical and electronic) where possible and streamline raw materials
  1. Experience Requirements:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in PCB drafting, design, and layout.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex PCB and mechanical designs in telecommunications, RF and Military industries.
  • Experience leading full design cycles, from concept through production, including close collaboration with engineers, manufacturing teams, and vendors.
  1. Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Ability to lead PCB design projects, working with cross-functional teams including engineers, fabricators, and assemblers.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring delivery within the scope, budget, and timeline.
  1. Problem-Solving and Optimization:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex design and manufacturing issues, and optimize layouts for both performance and manufacturability.
  • Experience with design optimization for thermal, power, high power RF applications.
  • Ability to identify and solve signal integrity problems such as crosstalk, EMI, and grounding issues.
