**Purpose:**
Independently performs installation, diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on Grain Drying equipment. The Grain Bin Dryer Technician performs both set-up and testing of new equipment and troubleshooting of existing systems. May require some direction or guidance from the Location Service Management team.
**Responsibilities:**- Setup, test, and run new grain dryers and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair grain dryers, electric motors, PLCcontrol systems
- Diagnose, repair, and replace electronic components
- Change bearings and other moving components as needed
- Read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams; as well as read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
- Other appropriate responsibilities assigned by manager
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures with limited re-work or customer dissatisfaction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronics and electric components
- Demonstrated knowledge of electric diagnostics and repair
- Demonstrated knowledge of circuit reading and repair
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs
- Good Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Demonstrated willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrated use of specialized tools such as welders and power tools
- Keeps a friendly relationship with customers
- Keeps a positive attitude
- Valid drivers license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License) and forklift license preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.
- Adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities required.
- Driving record that meets Employers insurance company requirements.
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate may be required.
