Mechanical Engineer Manufacturing Mid to Senior Level

Essential Functions- Design and detail wastewater treatment equipment using the information supplied by senior engineers, the sales team, and customer specifications.
- Generate BOM and interface with purchasing in the procurement of designed components.
- Prepare General Arrangements (GA) for incorporation into proposals and bids.
- Prepare Fabrication Drawings for Mechanical equipment for wastewater treatment plants.
- Perform FEA and stress analyses and other calculations as needed for projects.
- Suggest process and design improvements when identified in compliance with the Company's ISO program.
- Assist with processes, tools, and systems for project estimating that are accurate and efficient.
- Ensure that company procedures and design methodology is consistently applied.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately externally with all stakeholders including clients, as required.
Requirements
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- PE in mechanical engineering a plus.
- 5-7 years' experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering position(s).
- Experience in developing 3D models, creating manufacturing drawings, and generating BOM.
- Strong experience with sheet metal fabrication required.
- Strong experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D automation.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel

Our Houston team works Monday through Thursday and half a day on Friday. Compensation commensurate with experience.
