Job Description:

This role is to support the Insulating trade with the following:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate work of mechanics on crew.
• Ensure work is executed with first time quality, on schedule, and with budgeted parameters.
• Manage material needs with proper planning and procurement.
• Manage employees job charging and time accounting.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Support and administer labor contract.
• Communicate with other supervisors to help achieve and maintain smooth work flow and high degree of productivity.

Required/Preferred Education/Training:

• High School diploma or GED required
• BIW Apprentice graduate preferred.

Required/Preferred Experience:

• One years’ experience in I02 classification required.
• Understanding of shipbuilding/manufacturing processes preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities required.
• Previous supervisory experience in a production environment is desired.
