Staff Accountant

Do you have experience as a Staff Accountant and are meticulous and innovative? We have a current opening for a Staff Accountant for a specialized company in need of temporary coverage.

The right Staff Accountant will be over:

• Assist with the period-end close process by reviewing and completing assigned period-end functions while also performing reconciliations and maintaining documentation related to balance sheet accounts.
• Perform period over period and year over year variance analysis for expense accounts.
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a periodic/quarterly basis.
• Prepare period end journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare reports for external departments
• Perform other work-related job duties as required
• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in investment/hedge fund accounting or auditing is required
