Responsibilities
  • Perform multi-craft maintenance (mechanical, electrical, PLC) to repair machinery, equipment, and structures.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using blueprints, manuals, or catalogs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling machines, automated presses, molding equipment, and utility systems.
  • Ensure proper operation of electrical and mechanical components (motors, switches, timers, pneumatics, hydraulics).
  • Repair and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery parts (shafts, bearings, gears).
  • Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Reassemble gearboxes, pumps, and equipment.
  • Install and repair piping (black iron, copper, PVC, flexible tubing) and electrical conduit.
  • Install components like seals, bearings, belts, and sprockets.
  • Troubleshoot and rebuild centrifugal/positive displacement pumps.
  • Fabricate parts, weld carbon steel/aluminum, cut metal with plasma cutters/torches.
  • Wire and install electric motors, replace lighting, and follow NEC guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain AC drive systems and PLCs.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Follow work order system and stockroom procedures.
  • Audit equipment and create replacement part lists.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in work procedures.
  • Report issues to supervisors and maintain team relations.
  • Maintain organized work areas and assist with cleanliness across departments.
The essential functions of this role include:

  • working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
