Accounting Assistant

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Bronxville, New York. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team, operating in the financial industry, and will be expected to carry out a range of accounting-related tasks in a physical workplace setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Utilizing accounting software systems to streamline financial tasks and maintain records.
- Assisting with ADP
- Financial Services and ADP
- Payroll tasks as required.
- Performing various accounting functions to support the financial health of the organization.
- Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensuring the maintenance of accurate customer credit records.
- Responding to and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action when required. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is required
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Experience with ADP - Payroll is advantageous
- The applicant should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Possession of strong organizational skills is essential
- The ability to work independently and in a team is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
- The applicant should be comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process is beneficial
- A degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
