We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Bronxville, New York. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team, operating in the financial industry, and will be expected to carry out a range of accounting-related tasks in a physical workplace setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
  • Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Utilizing accounting software systems to streamline financial tasks and maintain records.
  • Assisting with ADP
  • Financial Services and ADP
  • Payroll tasks as required.
  • Performing various accounting functions to support the financial health of the organization.
  • Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of accurate customer credit records.
  • Responding to and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action when required. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is required
  • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
  • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
  • Experience with ADP - Payroll is advantageous
  • The applicant should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Possession of strong organizational skills is essential
  • The ability to work independently and in a team is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • The applicant should be comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process is beneficial
  • A degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
