Texas Mortgage Broker/Originator

Responsibilities
- Developing a referral-based business, prospecting for new purchase and refinance clients, and marketing mortgage products.
- Determine client's needs and financial abilities to propose solutions that suit them.
- Guide borrowers through the loan application and mortgage process.
- Take a complete and accurate loan applications in the loan origination system, providing borrowers with all required disclosures.
- Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching borrower requests/goals with an appropriate loan program and level of risk.
- Gathering the necessary documents from the customer to prepare for underwriting.
- Work closely with the wholesale lenders' mortgage staff to address any underwriting conditions for final approval.
- Work closely with wholesale lenders' mortgage state to ensure seamless closing and funding.
- Maintain compliance and a thorough knowledge of all mortgage products and services, including forms and documentation for each type of loan.
- Active FL, GA, MD, PA and/or TX NMLS licensee’s only
- 2+ years experience as a Mortgage Broker/Originator.
- Encompass experience preferred.
- Commercial Mortgage Origination a plus but not required
- Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality focused.
- Maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
