Job Responsibilities
  • Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
  • Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
  • Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
  • Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
  • Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Exceptional Locum Tenens Pulmonologist Opportunity with Locums, Inc.!

Our latest Locum Tenens assignment is in the Torrington, CT area for a part time Pulmonologist with an outpatient pulmonology clinic. The facility needs coverage so that the full-time pulmonologists can assist the associated hospital with COVID-19 patients.

Patients will need to be seen on-site as well as through tele-health, with the balance of time spent towards on-site coverage. We hope that you are the one!

You will receive:

  • Hourly Compensation
  • Malpractice coverage at 1mil/3mil
  • Travel and lodging covered

Duration:

  • 7/31/20 through 12/31/20

Hours:

  • 9:00am-5:00pm, 3 days per week (to be determined between provider and facility)

Particulars:

  • Patients are 100% adult
  • 2-3 patients seen per hour
  • No On-call
  • No hospital work

Requirements:

  • Active and Unrestricted Connecticut Physicians license
  • Board certification in Pulmonology
