Work Readiness Instructor

POSITION SUMMARY
The Work Readiness Instructor is responsible for instructing consumers according to established curriculum in their designated specialty area. This could include: Office and Clerical Skills, Building Maintenance, Computerized Stock Inventory/Retail, and Food Service.Instructor will also be responsible to devise other means of instructing consumers who need special assistance, while teaching consumers the necessary skills to obtain a position in their designated Work Readiness field.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Functions of all Work Readiness Instructors:- Provides direct instructional support to students within the Work Readiness program.
- Develops, maintains, and adheres to a curriculum which will be within the limits of the trainees’ abilities. Consistently re-evaluates needs and limits of clients and updates curriculum accordingly. Keeps up with new developments in respective field.
- Responsible for ordering specific program supplies and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Cleans and maintains a safe work environment in compliance with Department of Health regulations.
- Assists in development of forms and procedure within the training area.
- Assists with updating and maintaining billing records.
- Ensures that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for managing the catering and Work Readiness businesses.
- Assists DVE staff in identifying potential trainees for Work Readiness training.
- Always communicates in a respectful manner with all people including the people we support,
- Complies fully with FREE’s confidentiality policies by holding in strictest confidence all
- Meets all safety training requirements; adheres to all safety policies and reports any and all
safety or health risk.
- Coordinates, supports, attends and participates in all required events/ meetings/ reviews/
- Meets all job requirements and stays in compliance.
- Adheres to FREE’s standard of ethical behavior as outlined in the Employee Handbook and
Code of Conduct as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS- Education:
- Experience:
o Previous experience in one of the following is required: 2+ years of experience in
designated work readiness specialty, special education vocational training, work readinesstraining, teaching, and/or human services field experience.
o Previous experience working with adolescents or adults with disabilities preferred
- Specialized Training, Licenses, Certifications:
- Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
o Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others
informed and anticipating needs is essential
o Must be efficient, well organized, and have excellent communication skills
- Other Requirements:
This role is performed in-person.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Employee is required to sit, walk and stand for prolonged period of time (at least 8 hours).

The Pay Range for this job is $23.63 - $25.76. This range is based on what FREE reasonably
believes it will pay an employee as for said position at the time of the posting. Individual
compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including, but
not limited to, an individual’s experience, qualifications, services provided, geographic location, relevant skills, and other factors permitted under federal, state, and local laws.
