Job Description
  • Manage the organization's portfolio of grants and contracts, overseeing the full grant lifecycle (design, selection, implementation, and closure) and ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
  • Work with leadership to maintain and expand government funding by identifying strategic opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and community needs.
  • Lead the drafting of letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and related materials.
  • Collaborate with program staff and leadership to prepare application and reporting materials, monitor deliverables, and address any performance issues proactively.
  • Maintain grant administration systems, tracking proposals, budgets, and reporting deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
  • Monitor government funding channels and maintain up-to-date records with relevant online rating agencies.
  • Establish and manage project timelines for grant submissions and reports, keeping stakeholders informed of key deadlines.

The Successful Applicant
  • 5+ years of professional experience in institutional fundraising or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Extensive experience in writing and managing funding proposals for government agencies at federal, state, and city levels, as well as experience with foundation and corporate fundraising.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of funders and achieve financial results.
  • Proficiency in donor CRMs, research systems, MS Office, Adobe Publisher, Google products, and social media tools..
