EHR Data Analyst

The role involves creating healthcare data analytics using various reporting tools, developing and distributing reports, designing queries, and collaborating with providers and end-users. This role brings with it an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who has a knack for understanding and implementing operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and review periodic and ad hoc reports using tools like Access, SQL, EHR, JavaScript, Excel, and Power BI.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define and maintain a data environment that supports clinical, financial, and operational measurement, reporting, benchmarking, and decision-making.
• Utilize data to identify process and organizational improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of data requests.
• Understand and maintain current operational/clinical workflows, especially those related to the EHR system.
• Analyze, design, and support the implementation of requirements related to the EHR system.
• Collaborate with the team to develop data requirements and test new functionality to meet operational requirements.
• Perform basic and advanced troubleshooting to identify, verify and communicate data errors and customer-related problems.
• Serve as an escalation point for support tickets and provide solutions/resolutions.
• Proficient in SQL for management of databases
• Experience with EHR systems, including implementation and optimization
• Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Health Informatics, or Associate's degree with applicable work experience
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards related to data management and privacy
