Compensation range: Base between $95K -$115K + Management Bonus

Location: Santa Clara or SFBA

Position Summary:

Position Overview:

As the Creative Strategy Lead, you will be a member of the CX Team, a pivotal role in defining and leading the creative strategy for new business opportunities. You will lead the creative direction for RFPs, project bids, and new client engagements.

You will collaborate closely with MDMs, leadership, design teams, and external vendors to deliver exceptional design solutions, innovative product offerings, and ensure that all creative output aligns with OWP's brand standards. You will be involved in developing client experience strategies and contribute to OWP’s standing as an innovator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to create innovative, custom design solutions that are tailored to their specific needs.
  • Integrate OWP capabilities: Promote and integrate OWP’s suite of Brands into projects and project solutions. Including Woodtech, Pair, Etc, OWP technology.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with existing vendors while proactively seeking new opportunities with vendors, artisans, and suppliers for competitive pricing and innovative products.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively present and communicate with all project team levels, from junior members to high-level stakeholders.
  • Brand Representation: Represent OWP’s brand to the architecture and design (A&D) community and vendor partners, ensuring alignment with company values and vision.
  • Creative Strategy: Lead and validate the creative strategy for new business opportunities, including RFPs, and define creative deliverables and timelines.
  • RFP/Bid Process: Consult with leadership on refining internal processes for new business, helping to drive continuous improvement in how OWP responds to RFPs and secures new business.
  • Ownership of Creative Outputs: Take full ownership of the creative and visual outputs for all RFPs, bids, and new business opportunities, ensuring high-quality and on-brand deliverables.
  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with leadership to align creative strategy with broader business objectives. Meet with leadership to discuss updates and feedback on direction for the CX team.
  • Team Communication: Effectively communicate design revisions, updates, and instructions to the internal teams for hand-offs and ensure all project details are accurately represented.
  • Client Design Experience and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development of OWP’s client experience, helping to roll out best practices and methodologies.
  • Innovative Tools and Resources: Aid in the development of new tools and resources that support the sales, design, and creative processes, particularly in relation to ancillary products.
  • Pricing & Budgeting: Collaborate with leadership and Estimator to provide accurate pricing and budgeting for ancillary and conference room furniture, ensuring that all client needs are met within the project scope.
  • Space Planning: Demonstrate expertise in space planning, ensuring that layouts adhere to building codes, ADA regulations, and industry standards. Advise on furniture layouts that balance aesthetics and functionality.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with workplace trends and a wide range of furniture products to recommend the most suitable solutions for diverse spaces, budgets, and client needs.
  • Supplier Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of OWP’s furniture partners and collaborate with them to create custom pieces that meet client specifications.
  • Client Consultations: Advise clients on furniture specifications, providing expert insight on the features and benefits of various product solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience in design, furniture dealerships, or related fields. Experience with Steelcase products and systems furniture is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of Photoshop, Dropbox, and Box is ideal.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of interior design, workplace trends, furniture products, and the client design experience.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to identify client needs and deliver creative solutions.
