Water/Wastewater Engineer

As a Water Wastewater Engineer, you will evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects for water / wastewater, stormwater treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). Work at anyone of our offices in Virginia to include Richmond, Newport News, or Virginia Beach. Gannett Fleming embraces a hybrid work model and offers flexbile schedules. As a member of this collaborative and supportive team you will:

• Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects of various sizes
• Perform process design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including engineering services and construction management
• Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and prepares cost estimates for various water projects
• Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other supporting documents, and participate in client meetings.
• Prepares technical memoranda, perform data analysis, and work through the construction phase on the projects.
• Assists Project Managers with supervising and coordinating the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others team members for specific assignments
• Provide engineering services during construction
• Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
• - 3-5 years years of technical experience supporting water/wastewater treatment projects
• Project experience including design and construction of water treatment and distribution systems and/or wastewater collection and treatment systems
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study
• Engineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, WaterCAD, InfoWater, SewerCAD, ArcGIS etc.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
