Responsibilities of Structural Engineer:
- Develop and design structural frameworks and components for various building projects, ensuring safety, durability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct detailed analyses of structural components, materials, and systems using industry-standard software, ensuring the strength and stability of designs.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements into overall project designs and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Perform on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify that structures are being built according to design specifications and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve structural design challenges and construction issues, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and reports to support project approvals and construction activities.
- Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance design quality and project efficiency.
Qualifications of Structural Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited university required, Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in OK required or in progress.
- 5 or more years of post-graduate, professional engineering experience.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar.
- Strong understanding of building materials, load calculations, and construction methods.
