Tax Preparer

We are in search of a Tax Preparer's to join our team located in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves the processing of individual and entity tax returns, carrying out bookkeeping tasks, and managing client relationships. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the public tax preparation sector.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process individual and entity tax return applications
• Maintain and update client records to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Resolve client inquiries related to tax preparation and bookkeeping
• Monitor client accounts and take necessary action based on their tax situation
• Utilize skills in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax or other tax softwares for various accounting functions
• Handle income tax accounting and individual tax return processes
• Prepare trust tax returns and manage C Corp and Corporate Income Tax tasks
• Collaborate with team members to sustain growth at a manageable rate
• Adapt to off-season and tax season shifts in workload and responsibilities
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to details
• Proficiency in Lacerte or other tax processing software
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting functions and principles
• Experience in income tax accounting and individual tax return preparation
• Familiarity with preparing trust tax returns
• Understanding of C Corp tax procedures and regulations
• Experience in corporate income tax preparation and analysis
• Ability to adhere to tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.nn
