Accounts Payable Specialist

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our education located located in Santa Monica, California. This role revolves around the management of accounts payable transactions, ensuring precision and efficiency in all financial processes.

• Oversee the accounts payable process in collaboration with the AP Manager.
• Accurately allocate expenses by distinguishing GL codes.
• Ensure confidentiality and display reliability when processing invoices from the legal team.
• Apply knowledge of accruals, expenses, and assets principles in daily tasks.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for various accounting tasks.
• Handle sensitive financial information with maturity and responsibility.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the full accounting cycle.
• Manage the processing of a substantial volume of invoices/check runs weekly.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory
• Ability to execute Check Runs effectively
• Familiarity with Coding Invoices is essential
• Competence in Data Entry tasks is needed
• Expertise in Invoice Processing is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Prior experience with Oracle is a plus
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is beneficial
