Application Support Analyst (ASA)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Application Support Analyst (ASA) will be primarily responsible for the identification, research, and resolution of technical problems and customer concerns with MSC applications. The ASA will be a customer’s primary point of contact brokering a relationship with the Hong Kong development team. As one of the first U.S. employees, this position will also have opportunities to assist developing business in the US market. Other responsibilities will include:
o Application expert and customer relationship manager for post-implementation issues regarding detailed/technical system capabilities and enhancement requirementso Develop complex queries and reports to analyze production data to troubleshoot day to day issues for customers
o Proactively research data integrity and lead subsequent correction and recovery processes/activities for the application or data inconsistencies
o Review production fix requests and coordinate with the Hong Kong development team to resolve problems
o Support customer training initiatives with functional application expertise
o Develop training documentation and reports to management
QUALIFICATIONS- Required:
o Data analyst skills and capability of writing complex queries using SQL Server 2000 in order to investigate and validate data integrity.
o Bachelor’s Degree
- Desired:
o Software development life cycles, source code control and quality control processes
o Understanding of BizTalk or EAI tools, a plus!
o Experience with startup company/companies
o Retail and wholesale industry knowledge
