Paralegal

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal with our law firm client in Los Angeles. The role involves supporting defense litigation, primarily focusing on lemon law cases. The Paralegal will be required to work in a hybrid work model, with part of the work being performed on-site in their DTLA offices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the discovery phase, gather necessary information, and organize evidence
• Draft motions using established templates
• Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, assisting with other tasks as needed
• Utilize Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, CompuLaw for efficient case management
• Execute billing functions, briefings, calendar management, and claim administration
• Communicate effectively with customers, lawyers, and court officials
• Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on case status
• Remain updated with current laws and regulations applicable to the role.
• Proficiency in Aderant software
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Experience with Case Management Software
• Proficiency in CompuLaw
• Ability to handle Billing Functions
• Skilled in Briefing
• Experience in Calendar Management
• Proficiency in Claim Administration
• Excellent Communication skills
