Staff Accountant
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 Permanent Position with Benefits
We are looking for a Staff Accountant for a company that provides comprehensive accounting, tax, payroll, and business advisory services to a variety of clients and industries including real estate, franchisees, construction, manufacturing, service, and not-for-profit.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant should have experience with both taxes and preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. This job requires a person to be dependable, detail oriented, have good communication skills and be able to perform the following responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesReview and prepare general ledger accounts and adjusting journal entries
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income, and profit and loss statements
Perform account analysis and bank reconciliations
Maintain general ledger charts of accounts, fixed assets and depreciation, and update accounting records and files
Prep year end general ledger to trial balance
Prepare and finalize tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
Analyze financial data and create Excel spreadsheets for tax projections
Conduct month end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Educational Experience
B.S. Accounting
Minimum three years accounting experience
Experience closing books for small businesses*** highly desired
Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
