Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Center - Part Time (not benefit eligible) - Days
Overview:
Everyone occasionally suffers minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises. For most, these wounds are an inconvenience, but not a cause for concern. That’s not the case for almost seven million Americans whose wound-healing process is hampered by a chronic condition such as diabetes or multiple sclerosis, poor circulation, or long-term immobility.
The Central Jersey Wound and Edema Treatment Center helps treat non-healing (chronic) wounds and infection, which can lead to more serious complications if not cared for properly.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates day to day operational issues of the Wound Center.
- Provide clinical support to Physicians when needed.
- Coordinate care of patients throughout center.
- Data gathering and performance improvement duties as needed by center to meet standards.
- Provide resource skills/experience in developing Centers and meeting goals of institution.
Qualifications:
- BSN preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in NJ
- BLS required
- Wound Care Certification (CWS, CWCA, WOCN, WCC) required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Previous outpatient or inpatient nursing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Wound background preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
