Director Infrastructure
Summary Description:
Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, has entered into an agreement to acquire a large, multi-national sensor business with global revenues in excess of $250 million per year, and is looking for an experienced and talented Director of Infrastructure to take on critical role with expansive responsibilities and play a leading role in enhancing the IT function in a growing organization.
The Director of Infrastructure will be responsible for leading the IT team in building, maintaining, and securing a robust technological foundation for the organization. This position will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of both IT infrastructure best practices.The role will oversee the entire IT infrastructure lifecycle, from planning and implementation to ongoing management and security.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead the IT infrastructure team in managing and maintaining all aspects of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, cloud services (if applicable), and end-user devices.
- Oversee the implementation and management of security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data encryption, and user access controls.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
- Manage and monitor IT system performance, ensuring uptime, availability, and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT infrastructure trends and technologies.
- Develop and recommend new technologies and solutions to optimize infrastructure and enhance security.
- Lead the development and implementation of IT infrastructure and security policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships with IT infrastructure and security solution providers.
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and budget.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of IT professionals.
- Recruit, hire, and develop top talent within the IT infrastructure.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide regular reports to the CIO on the performance, health, and security posture of the IT infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT infrastructure teams.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud computing (if applicable).
- Proven experience in implementing and managing solutions.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $200,000 - $215,00, in addition, this role is eligible for our annual incentive plan bonus at 20% of base. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Syntiant, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
