Robert Half - Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
• Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate tax returns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
