Senior Resident Engineer

As Gannett Fleming continues to expand our client and project portfolio in the West Region, we are excited to identify an experienced Senior Resident Engineer throughout the greater Oakland Area.

Performs assignments that may not be clearly defined and requires the development of construction documents, procedures, and criteria. Performs oversight of multiple projects simultaneously.

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Manages construction field personnel, including teaming partners.
• Responds to solicitations and prepares proposals and presentations.
• Prepares construction contracts and cost estimates.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets.
• Prepares and issues reports and correspondence.
• Approves quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Approves construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and approves construction change orders.
• Resolves technical issues.
• Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies.
• Leads Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
• Develops Standard Operating Procedures.
• Education and Licensing requirements
• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• PE or CCM

• 10+ years’ experience.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Additional Notes

Must be able to independently travel and be physically present in the office or at a client site.
