Part-Time Legal Transcriptionist - Candidates with strong grammar and computer skills are preferred. Experience in workers’ compensation is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Flexible schedule opportunities available.

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and other documents from recorded messages from attorney - making corrections or changes as noted
• Familiarity with proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure as well as legal jargon and abbreviations for accuracy
• Work with transcription equipment that can include speech recognition equipment, word processing, and computer software
• Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact file handling
• Serve legal documents while maintaining strict adherence to legal standards and client confidentiality
• Assist as needed with file maintenance and document processing

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and speech recognition software
• Previous experience in legal settling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to work and thrive in pressure situations
• Punctual and reliable disposition
• Superb listening and time management skills
• Able to type 90 WPM
