Overview:
E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking Field Administrators for gas pipeline construction projects in Southern Illinois.
Responsibilities:
- Compile data for project completion
- Work closely with field personnel daily to ensure accuracy of field-generated data and documentation on up to 3 construction sites at a time.
- Maintain records of new and repaired pipelines to meet company and regulatory requirements
- Assist gas pipeline inspectors with the material inventory process and material reconciliation reports
- Daily electronic entry of field-generated data
Qualifications:
Requirements- A vocational/technical school education is strongly preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret construction blueprints
- Previous AutoCAD experience
- Computer skills a must (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; tablets and PC savvy)
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work outdoors; 10 hours per day, 5 days a week
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50lbs.
- Authorized to work in the US
- Alcohol-free, drug-free workplace (DOT drug testing required by federal regulations)
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal vehicle with insurance
- Ability to work well with all levels of gas construction industry professionals
- Ability to maintain organization in construction field conditions (i.e., working out of a vehicle)
- Ability to represent E2’s client (Ameren Gas of Illinois) with professionalism and integrity

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Construction Sites and/or Client Right-of-Way (R.O.W.)
- Reports to the Chief Inspector, based locally with respect to the projects.
- May require extensive driving to reach job sites and/or client/E2 offices.
- Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
- Lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
- Able to perform in both inside and outside environmental conditions in all four seasons throughout the continental United States – extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit) and/or extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit) for periods of more than one hour.
- Ability to sense potentially dangerous situations on a construction site, including hearing heavy machinery and vehicle back-up alarms.
Travel:
May require extensive driving to reach job sites and/or client/E2 offices.
