This position is fully remote.
This position will support the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED). OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions.We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.
- The Business Analyst gathers and organizes information about the problems to be solved or the procedures to be improved.
- Interviews personnel and conducts onsite observations to determine the methods, equipment’s, and personnel’s that will be needed.
- Analyzes financial and other data including, revenue, expenditure, and employment reports.
- Develops solutions or alternative practices.
- Work with spreadsheets.
- Recommends new systems, procedures, and/or organizational changes.
- Make recommendations to management through presentations and/or written reports.
- Confers with managers to ensure changes are working.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- 0 to 5 years of experience desired.
- Esperience in renewable anergy / government administration desired.
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
