We are in search of an Office Assistant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role will primarily involve managing the transition of our office to a new location. This is a contract role that is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and experience managing office relocations.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the packing and organization of office items and furniture, ensuring all items are correctly categorized and labeled.
- Manage the disposal of unwanted items, deciding between trash, donations, and shredding.
- Handle administrative tasks such as contacting vendors for services like final cleaning and service cancellations.
- Use various computer programs and CRM systems to maintain accurate records and process customer credit applications.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering inbound calls and managing billing functions.
- Utilize accounting software systems to manage and monitor customer accounts.
- Take necessary action based on the status of customer accounts to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all office tasks are performed in a timely manner, including the ability to lift heavy items when necessary.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to answer and resolve customer inquiries.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.
- Sound knowledge and experience with various Computer Programs is expected
- Excellent communication skills to Answer and manage Inbound Calls effectively
- Experience performing Clerical Duties in an office environment is necessary
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
- Must have the ability to adapt to changing work environments and tasks
