We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Benefits Specialist in the Tech industry based in San Francisco, California. The Benefits Specialist will be instrumental in managing and resolving complex benefits-related queries, conducting audits for payroll and Workday, and collaborating with carriers, vendors, and brokers to address gaps.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve Tier 2 & 3 benefits-related questions, providing support to the People Ops team who handle Tier 1 inquiries.
- Oversee complex benefits issues including life event changes, and approve related adjustments in the system.
- Conduct audits for payroll and Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all benefits-related processes.
- Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and brokers to address gaps and ensure smooth transitions, especially during periods of change.
- Lead new hire benefits orientation sessions biweekly and provide post-enrollment support during busy periods.
- Utilize your skills in Auditing, Benefit Functions, Workday, Benefits Administration, Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUP, and Expense Reconciliation to perform these tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Use your industry experience to support up to 2,000 EE's globally/1500 in US and Canada.
- Manage both health/retirement, and flexible spending benefits.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT Software industry.
- Proven experience in Benefits Administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP function.
- Experience in Auditing and Expense Reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of Benefit Functions.
- Proficiency in using Workday software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in IT Software or Benefits Administration are a plus.
