Your Role: Certified Payroll Compliance Expert
As a Certified Payroll Specialist, you will be the foundation of our prevailing wage compliance team, ensuring every payroll report is flawless, audit-proof, and compliant with federal and state laws. You will work closely with project managers, finance, and HR to streamline payroll processes and support our expanding workforce.
What Youll Do
Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports (WH-347 & state-specific forms) for government contracts.Ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage laws, and union collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
Audit and verify wage rates, fringe benefits, deductions, and trust fund contributions
Work directly with union representatives to track and report payroll information
Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies to prevent compliance violations
Stay ahead of regulatory changes and educate internal teams on compliance requirements
Assist with certified payroll audits and compliance reviews
Help develop and improve payroll systems as we scale
What Were Looking For
2+ years of experience in certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, or union payroll administrationDeep knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act, DIR (California), and state-specific prevailing wage laws
Experience working with union payroll, trust fund reporting, and CBAs
Proficiency in LCPtracker, eMars, Procore, QuickBooks, ADP, or similar payroll systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze payroll data with precision
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-growing company with an evolving structure
Ability to grow into a leadership role as our team expands
Background in construction, public works, or government contracting is a plus
