Responsibilities:

The Lead Martial Arts Facilitator facilitates programming that provides healing through body-based and experiential modalities that emphasize health by creating essential connections between the mind, body, and emotions.

Essential Duties:

  • Facilitate martial arts and experiential modalities for nature-based training that relates to the physical/philosophical teachings of authentic martial arts for designated facility for groups as assigned.
  • Facilitate individual sessions per the staging system.
  • Complete documentation timely and according to established standards.
  • Provide residential milieu support to direct care and clinical staff in crisis.
  • Receive regular weekly supervision/curriculum guidance from Director, Martial Arts Therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed in counseling, psychology, or social work in the state in which you are applying preferred.
  • First degree black belt or equivalent in a non-belted martial art required.
  • Experience working with young adults/adolescents in a behavioral health setting required.
